Hello dear friends, The past seven months since Gord and I were evacuated out of Haiti have just flown by. This has been the longest we have been away from the mission in many years, and as much as it's been wonderful to be home with our kids, we miss our Haitian family very much. For those who do not know the details, in February when the uprisings started in Haiti, our kids started a Go-Fund-Me page to raise money...
Much has happened the past few days. A very successful GoFundMe was initiated to enable our team of nurses to rent a helicopter and fly to the airport in Port-Au-Prince. They are now back home. Gord and Heather then decided due to the escalating trouble and violence to leave as well. A GoFundMe campaign to help them with helicopter costs as well was started by their children and it was also successful. Gord and Heather safely arrived home early Wed morning.. ...
This morning at Hope Grows Haiti the atmosphere is calm. We are peaceful, yet concerned after the Presidents address last night stating he will not step down....

Peterborough Paramedics team worked hard this week. Two clinics on our compound, one in Grand Goave and one in the mountains met many needs here in Haiti. Their elderly care was so appreciated too....
