19 Feb 2019 Updates re: civil unrest
Much has happened the past few days. A very successful GoFundMe was initiated to enable our team of nurses to rent a helicopter and fly to the airport in Port-Au-Prince. They are now back home. Gord and Heather then decided due to the escalating trouble and violence to leave as well. A GoFundMe campaign to help them with helicopter costs as well was started by their children and it was also successful.
Gord and Heather safely arrived home early Wed morning.. Below are some updates via social media.
Loved the ride to the airport. Our pilot, McHenry Priestly of Colibri-HAITI is incredible! Saw the journey we’ve taken so many times over the past 12 years from a completely different perspective. So much beauty but still in such turmoil. God please help #Haiti.#HaitiEnCrisis pic.twitter.com/QSAPD0Gtux
